2010 September Committee Meetings
Council/component Meetings are held twice a year, during the Annual Meeting and in September. They are attended by APA Council and Committee members. This meeting gives council/committee members the opportunity to discuss important issues and draft policies. Corresponding members may attend, however, they are responsible for all of their expenses, including travel and housing.

Institute on Psychiatric Services
The Institute on Psychiatric Services is held each Fall. The IPS, which offers up to 32 category 1 CME credits as well as CE/CEU credits, is intended to provide training and support for psychiatrist and other mental health professionals relevant to a clinical setting.

2011 APA Annual Meeting in Hawaii
Plan to attend the 164th Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association which will take place from May 14-18, 2011 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

2010 Annual Meeting
The 2010 APA Annual Meeting was held in New Orleans May 22-26, 2010. The meeting featured more than 500 scientific sessions, including guest lecturers, new research poster sessions, networking opportunities and up to 58 professional education credits.

Governance Meetings
The association is governed by the Board of Trustees, which includes national and regional officers as well as trustees elected by the membership. The Assembly, the Joint Reference Committee and various committees and councils also meet regularly to conduct APA business. |
