Diversity & Health Equity

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is committed to promoting universal and equitable access to the highest quality care for all people affected by mental disorders, including substance use disorders. The Division of Diversity and Health Equity (DDHE) within the APA supports its members and the patients they serve through community outreach and engagement activities, as well as education and training programs that foster culturally responsive care, improved patient safety, and mental health outcomes.
