An APA Caucus is defined as a group of self-selected special interest psychiatrists members. The purpose of APA specialty interest caucuses is to promote communication and networking among member psychiatrists who share a special interest so that they may bring attention to important or emerging issues to APA, patient care and the practice of psychiatry within that special interest area.
Learn about APA's seven Minority and Underrepresented (M/UR) Caucuses here.
Membership in caucuses is complimentary and exclusive to APA members. Caucuses are hosted within APA Communities, an online platform designed for dynamic communication and collaboration, where members can engage in discussions, share resources, and connect directly with one another.
Join an APA caucus by logging in to my.psychiatry.org, selecting "APA Caucuses" in the left-side navigation, and selecting the Caucuses you would like to join. If you are already a member of an APA caucus, you can log in and access APA Communities here.
