Federal Affairs
In our nation's capital, the APA Department of Government Relations and Division of Policy, Programs, and Partnerships staff advise Congress, the White House, and federal agencies on issues of significance to psychiatry. Representing the interests of psychiatrists, our patients, and their families, APA advocates on a wide range of legislative and regulatory initiatives. Additionally, APA's Political Action Committee, APAPAC, works to elect Members of Congress who demonstrate support for psychiatry and mental health.
