Health Services Research Awards

The Early Career Award, established in 1998, recognizes the best paper published in the past year by an early career psychiatrist. The Senior Scholar Award recognizes sustained research accomplishments in the area of mental health.

Criteria / Eligibility

  • APA member
    • Early Career Health Services Research honoree must be under age 40 or within five years of completion of training

Nomination / Application Details

  • Letter of recommendation ; nominator must notify applicant of his or her nomination
  • Statement describing relationship between nominator and nominee
  • Nominee’s CV
  • For the Early Career Health Services Research Award: nominee’s paper
  • For the Senior Scholar Health Services Research Award: one or two papers of greatest significance
